Effective Date: October 18, 2026 · Last Updated: October 18, 2026

100% Free Forever Commitment

AskTechAdvisor guides, diagnostic calculators, and client-side Email Cleaner are provided 100% free of charge. No credit card, no recurring subscriptions, and no hidden fees.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using AskTechAdvisor (accessible at https://asktechadvisor.com) or any associated interactive tools, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or tools.

2. Description of Services

AskTechAdvisor is an educational technology portal offering:

  • Comprehensive, step-by-step troubleshooting articles for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and cloud ecosystems.
  • Interactive on-device diagnostic tools (e.g., iPhone Storage Troubleshooter and Battery Drain Checker).
  • The AskTechAdvisor Email Cleaner, a browser-based utility allowing users to organize, filter, and clean inbox bloat using official Google and Microsoft OAuth 2.0 authorization.
Safe & Reversible Operations

3. Email Cleaner & Authorized Third-Party Actions

When connecting your Google or Microsoft account to the AskTechAdvisor Email Cleaner:

  • User Authorization: You explicitly authorize AskTechAdvisor to execute commands strictly requested by you in your browser, such as querying header metadata (sizes, dates, senders) and moving selected messages into your account's Trash folder.
  • Reversible Trash Safeguard: The tool moves emails to your provider's native Trash folder (where messages are typically recoverable for 30 days under Google and Microsoft standard policies). It does not perform irreversible permanent hard deletions without explicit user confirmation.
  • Client-Side Processing: All sorting, grouping, filtering, and cross-checks run entirely on your local machine. AskTechAdvisor maintains zero server databases of your emails.
  • Revocability: You may disconnect your account at any moment inside the tool, or revoke permission at any time directly through your Google Account Permissions or Microsoft Security portal.

4. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use

You agree to use AskTechAdvisor in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You specifically agree not to:

  • Connect or attempt to connect email accounts or devices that you do not own or are not explicitly authorized to administer.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or bypass rate limits or authentication security controls.
  • Deploy automated bots, spiders, or scrapers to overload our server infrastructure.
  • Use the services for any fraudulent, unlawful, or abusive activities.
